Tiger Wins Fourth Memorial

Tiger Woods has stressed patience as he’s come back from
knee surgery last summer.
The world’s best golfer used that patience in winning
his record fourth Memorial Tournament trophy at
Muirfield Village Golf Course Sunday.
“I knew I could do this,” Woods said of his performance.
“It’s just a matter of giving me a little bit of time. I
just came off a pretty extended break and I was close to
winning, but the game wasn’t quite there when I really
needed it on Sunday. I rectified that.”
Woods, who started the final round four strokes off the
leaders, birdied four of the first five holes and eagled
the par-five No. 11 to move into a four-way tie for the
lead going down the stretch...more

Yesterday, Luke Donald
used 20 putts in his round. Today, the greens
were not as giving. Donald shot a 4-over par.
Meanwhile Jim Furyk continued to play well and is in
a tie for first place with Jonathan Byrd.

Ben Curtis continued his steady pace in the second
round of the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield
Village Golf Course Friday and is in arms reach of
the leaders. The Buckeye Valley grad shot a
one-under, 71 to go to two-under through 36 holes.

Former Champions Go Different Directions

The only three-time winners of the Memorial
Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Course went in
two different directions on the back nine in the
first round of this year’s affair. Tiger
Woods, whose playing in the tournament for only the
second time in four years, bogeyed No. 18 to finish
three-under, 69. Woods had birdied Nos. 15 and 16 to
get to four-under before missing a three-foot putt

Jack and Tiger play in the same foursome.
It has been nine years since Jack and Tiger played in a
practice round together. The two played in a foursome

- Pettersson hangs
steady for his second PGA victory
Rain once again played slight havoc with the
Memorial Tournament. Carl Pettersson was able to weather the storms to keep ahead of
both Brett Wetterich (5-under round) and Zack Johnson (2-under
round) who tied for second with 10-under par
to win his first Memorial.

Cinderella Story: Bart Bryant Wins 2005 Memorial
Journeyman Bart Bryant pulled out a stunning and one
of the most dramatic finishes in tournament history, edging out
Fred Couples by one shot to earn his second tour win of his
career.

2004 Memorial
Ernie Els was
one to impress and be impressed with winning the final round by only
two strokes; scoring 66 with a final score of 18-under par, 270 to
hold off Fred Couples and Tiger Woods for his first Memorial win in
