My First Muirfield Experience - This Side of the Story
By Giles Kennedy, Contributing Columnist
While walking the course and taking in the ambiance of the PGA’s greatest golfers, I was pondering how to go about this installment. Cicadas, cicadas, cicadas …Seems once you pass the gates of Muirfield Village, all you can hear is the sound of the cicadas. They seem to be everywhere and their noise is plentiful. 1987 was the last time the cicadas were abound at Muirfield Village. There are thousands of them and the noise made is their mating call. The sound is like crickets, but never ending. Let’s hope the golfers can put the noise behind them this week and focus on the job at hand.

They were last seen waiting for Tiger Woods. “He probably won’t stop and give any,” said the 16 year old.
