Five Simple Ways to Cut Back on Costs This Holiday Season
It should come as no surprise to most that economists are predicting significantly less spending this holiday season than in previous years. Facing growing financial concerns, a lack of confidence in the economy, and rising food and fuel costs, many shoppers will be much more conservative with their holiday spending. But there is good news that should turn that “Bah Humbug” attitude around. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways a savvy shopper can avoid the squeeze to ensure that the “season of giving” remains just as it is...more

Ohio State's Terrelle Pryor Tosses 4 TD's in 28-10 Win Over Troy (9/20/08)
Ohio State returned home after a potentially devastating loss to USC and shook off the rust with a 28-10 win over Troy (Alabama) University.  Terrelle Pryor started the game and threw for a freshman record 4 touchdown passes.  The defense allowed the high powered Trojan offense to move up and down the field (over 300 yards), but only allowed one TD run and a field goal.  Special teams was instrumental with two punts by A.J. Trapasso to pin Troy within their own 5 yard line.  Brian Robiskie caught one TD pass, Brian Hartline pulled down two TD's and another was caught by Rory Nichol, who has not caught a TD pass in two years...more

OSU FOOTBALL:  OHIO STATE 26, OHIO UNIVERSITY 12  (9/6/08)
The Buckeyes have never lost to an in-state rival. In fact, the last time Ohio State faced Ohio University in 1999 it was a runaway victory. But that was the Bobcats of old. The 2008 version gave the Buckeyes a scare, at one point leading 12-6 before OSU rallied to pull out a 26-14 win heading to Southern California next week to face the mighty Trojans. The offense once again looked so-so while the defense allowed Ohio University over 100 yards rushing, but created four turnovers on interceptions, leading to a field goal and a rushing TD.

bulletThe Ten-Minute Attitude Adjuster
By Jenna Glatzer
You make breakfast. You get the kids ready. You hop in a shower. You take them to school. You go grocery shopping. You run sixteen errands before they come home, at which time you take them to soccer practice, dance class, and a friend’s birthday party. You make dinner, then clean the house. You check their homework and tuck them in bed. And by the time you’re done with all this, pretty much all you want to do is to crawl into bed and sleep for the next twelve hours, but you can’t, because tomorrow morning you have to do it all again. Sound about right? ...more
