 Buckeye Football
(4-1, 1-0) Ohio State 34, (4-1, 0-1) Minnesota 21

The Buckeyes began the Big-10 season with a home game against the Minnesota Gophers, who were coming in with a record of 4-0 in non-conference games.

OSU freshman Terrelle Pryer threw for 1 TD and ran for two more to lead his team past the Gophers 34-21.  Brian Robiskie caught two TD passes, including one from Sr. QB Todd Boeckman.  The defense created two timely interceptions by Donald Washington and running back Chris 'Beanie' Wells also made his first start since the Youngstown State game and ran well, gaining over 100 yards.
