Blue Jackets open home exhibition season with loss to Nashville
Number One Pick Rick Nash makes his home debut.

The Blue Jackets returned home from a weeklong practice at Price Edward Island and with two pre-season victories under their belt (Buffalo Sabres in Syracuse and the Lightning in Tampa Bay) to take on the rival Nashville Predators in their home exhibition opener.

Unfortunately, Columbus would play catch up most of the game as Nashville got out to a quick 3-0 lead (2 goals on power plays) that they never relinquished.
